André Baeten (born September 19, 1974 in Wesel ) is a German mechanical engineer.

biography

Baeten grew up in the Wesel district of Büderich . He attended the primary school there and the Andreas-Vesalius-Gymnasium Wesel , where he graduated from high school in 1994. From 1994 to 1999 he studied mechanical engineering / aerospace engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) in Aachen and as part of the ERASMUS program from 1998 to 1999 at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Constructions Aéronautiques (ENSICA) in Toulouse . From 2000 to 2007 he worked as a development engineer at EADS Military Air Systems GmbH in Ottobrunn and from 2007 to 2009 as a systems engineer at LFK Lenkflugkörpersysteme GmbH in Unterschleißheim . In 2007 he received his doctorate from RWTH Aachen University as Dr.-Ing. Since 2009 he has been professor for lightweight construction , fiber composites and technical mechanics at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences .
