André Dziezuk

André Dziezuk (* 1966 in Thionville ) is a French composer .

Life

André Dziezuk comes from a musical family. His grandparents, of Belarusian and Ukrainian descent, immigrated to France. His father founded the "L'Orchestre des Quatre Frères". He learned the oboe and the clarinet as a child before joining his father's orchestra at the age of 12. After graduating from school, he successfully studied classical music at the Metz Conservatory, which has won several awards. He then decided to pursue a career as a teacher and finally found a job as a music teacher at the Théodore Monod College in Villerupt .

Together with the Luxembourg guitarist Marc Mergen , he founded the band Lingo in 1994 and began to devote himself to other music styles, including jazz, rap and electro music. They made their debut together with the love film A Pornographic Relationship, directed by Frédéric Fonteyne in 1999, as a film composer for a feature film. He was then able to establish himself as a composer and produced over 40 film scores either alone or in collaboration with other renowned composers, including for international productions such as the Dutch drama The Great Secret , the Israeli comedy Tel Aviv on Fire , and the Luxembourg documentary Germaine Damar - Der tanzende Stern or the English-language historical drama Colonia Dignidad - There's no going back .

Dziezuk has two daughters who are also musicians.
