André Guerrier, who was a member of Sport Nautique et Plaisance du Havre , took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in the 8-meter class as a crew member on the French yacht Namousse . The Namousse reached the final of the regatta taking place in Le Havre as one of three boats and, like the British boat Emily led by Ernest Roney , scored five points behind the Olympic champions from Norway on the Béra , who won both finals. In the jump-off for the silver medal, the British finally prevailed against the Namousse , with which Guerrier and the other crew members Robert Girardet , Pierre Gauthier and Georges Mollard as well as skipper Louis Charles Breguet received the bronze medal.
