Andrés Espinosa
Andrés Espinosa (born February 4, 1963 in Monclova , Coahuila ) is a Mexican long-distance runner who had his greatest successes in the marathon .
In 1991 and 1992 he finished second in the New York City Marathon , and in 1993 he won there. In 1994 he finished second in the Boston Marathon in 2:07:19, the fastest time a Mexican has ever run to date, and the second fastest time ever in Boston until 2006.
At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 , he was ninth.
At the 2003 Berlin Marathon , he set a world record for the M 40 age group in fourth in 2:08:46.
He took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 2000 Games in Sydney he came in 27th place, at the 2004 Games in Athens he came in 69th place.
