Andrea Bunjes

Andrea Bunjes (born February 5, 1976 in Holtland ) is a former internationally successful German hammer thrower .

The greatest successes were eleventh place at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and tenth place at the 2002 European Championships in Munich. In addition, she was German champion in 2004. There are also further placements in national and international competitions. She threw her best distance of 70.73 m in 2004. By 2005 she started for her East Frisian homeland club, SV Holtland, where she started her career in 1988. In 2006 she moved to Eintracht Frankfurt for sporting and professional reasons . In 2011 she ended her sports career.

Andrea Bunjes was a member of the sports promotion group of the Hessian police .
