Andrea Di Paola (* 1970 ) is an Italian astronomer and asteroid explorer who works at the Osservatorio Astronomico di Roma .
Since joining astronomy in 1996, he and Andrea Boattini discovered a total of 11 asteroids .
He is the co-discoverer of the Supernova SN 2002cv and, as a member of the CINEOS team, the periodic comet 167P / CINEOS .
The asteroid (27130) Dipaola was named after him.
