Andrea Esterhazy

Andrea Esterhazy (actually Count András Béla Péter Hubert Esterházy de Galántha ; born October 19, 1913 in Pressburg , † July 30, 1984 in Rome ) was an Austro - Hungarian actor .

Esterhazy started out as a diplomat and from the mid-1930s worked for the Hungarian Foreign Ministry in Budapest. In 1947 he was offered a position as embassy secretary in Italy. There the multilingual Esterhazy stayed against the wishes of his government and worked as an actor in the film. He was busy in many small roles until his death. He, whose nickname soon became Bondi , was also seen in a number of award-winning films, including a fitting debut as an embassy member in A Heart and a Crown 1953, in King Vidor's War and Peace (1956), in Daisy Miller in the mid-1970s and in password salamander shortly before his death.
