Andrea Karimé (born May 5, 1963 in Kassel ) is a German writer.

Life

Andrea Karimé grew up in Kassel between the German and Lebanese language and culture. After graduating from high school (1982), she studied art and music education at the comprehensive university in Kassel . Subsequently, legal clerkship and from 1995 training in creative writing at IFK Berlin. She has been working as a teacher in Leverkusen since 1995 . In 2004 she trained as a storyteller at the Wirkstatt, Karlsruhe and since 2007 she has been working as a freelance writer. Andrea Karimé lives in Cologne.

Her music story “Wolken-Oto and the secret of the apricot-colored cat” in the series “Music tells”, commissioned by the Philharmonie Cologne and Luxembourg, had its world premiere in November 2012.
