Andrea Müller (athlete)

Andrea Martina Müller (born June 29, 1974 in Zweibrücken ) is a former German pole vaulter .

Andrea Müller was a pioneer of the pole vault in Germany. In 1988 she jumped 3.20 m high. In 1994 she crossed the 4-meter mark for the first time. In total, she set nine German records. Her personal best of 4.30 m in 1997 was not a record, however. Andrea Müller was German champion in the pole vault in 1994 and 1997. In 1993 and 1995 she was third. At the European Indoor Championships in 1996, she finished fifth with 3.95 m. On August 5, 1995, she set a world record in Zittau with 4.18 m. So she was the only German world record holder in the pole vault outdoors. Müller's best indoor performance is 4.20 m.

In her career, Müller started for the LAZ Zweibrücken .
