Andrea Marinoni

Andrea Marinoni (born November 24, 1955 in San Lazzaro di Rovetta ) is a former Italian enduro athlete . He won the Enduro European Championship several times and was twice a member of the victorious national team at the International Six-Day Race .

Career

Andrea Marinoni began actively doing motorsport in 1973. In 1974 he won the Trofeo FMI on a 50 cm³ SWM . In 1979 he was on a SWM Enduro European Champion in the class up to 175 cm³. He also won the Valli Bergamasche in this class . In 1980 he was again European champion. This time he won with a SWM in the class up to 250 cm³. He was a member of the winning trophy team at the international six-day race. Again this year he achieved a class win in the Valli Bergamasche. At the international six-day trip to Elba in 1981 he was a member of the victorious silver vase team. In 1982 he achieved another victory in the Valli Bergamasche with a 250 cm³ KTM .

In 1983 he won the Enduro European Championship in the class up to 125 cm³ on a KTM. In the same year he also won the Italian championship in this class.

From 1985 he took part in the Dakar Rally with a Yamaha . He was fourth in 1985, seventh in 1986 and ninth in 1989.

After the end of his career, he took over catering , press work and organization for the Yamaha Superbike team in 1993 . In 1999 he joined Valentino Rossi's Nastro Azzuro team in the motorcycle world championship , where he was also responsible for catering.
