Andreas Aguilar
Andreas Aguilar (born January 26, 1962 in Barcelona ) is a former German gymnast.
He grew up in the Philippines. In 1971 he came to Hanover. Already in 1982 and 1983 he was German champion in ring gymnastics. He was able to win a total of six German championships. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, he finished twelfth with the German squad, as ninth in the preliminary fight he just missed the final in the rings. His greatest sporting success was winning the world championships in ring gymnastics in 1989 in Stuttgart . He ended his sporting career after an injury at the European Championships in 1990.
He is the bearer of the silver bay leaf .
Since the end of his active career, he has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator.
