Andreas Behrend

Andreas Behrend (born September 27, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German swimmer who started for the sports fans Neckarsulm in the early 1980s.

From 1996 to 2008 Behrend was the head coach of SSG Rödermark. Today he works as a physiotherapist .

successes

At the German championships in 1979 and 1980 he won the title over 100 m dolphin. His victory time of 55.33 seconds in 1980 also meant a German record.

In 1981 he started at the European Championships in Split , where he finished fourth.

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , he started over 100 and 200 m dolphins and was also a member of the 4 × 100 m individual relay . He reached seventh place over 100 m dolphin and 25th place over twice the distance. With the season he was fourth.
