Andreas Cahn

Andreas Cahn (born September 30, 1959 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

Cahn studied law at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the University of California, Berkeley . He received his doctorate in Frankfurt am Main and completed his habilitation there with Hans-Joachim Mertens . From 1996 to 2002 he was full professor for civil, commercial and corporate law at the University of Mannheim .

Cahn has been teaching as a professor for civil law and commercial law at Goethe University since 2002 . He is managing director of the Institute for Law and Finance (ILF) in the House of Finance at Goethe University and a lecturer at the Goethe Business School.

His work focuses on stock corporation law, in particular the management board and supervisory board, corporate governance, capital market law, capital maintenance, group law, corporate finance and comparative law.
