Andreas Denk

Andreas Denk (* 1959 in Dortmund ) is a German architectural historian , architectural theorist and journalist.

Andreas Denk is editor-in-chief of the magazine “ der architekt ” of the Association of German Architects and professor for architectural theory at the Technical University of Cologne . Since 2015 he has been a full member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts , chairman of the Society for Art and Design (Bonn), member of the board of the Hans Schaefers Foundation (Berlin), curator of the board of the Architekturforum Rheinland e. V. in the House of Architecture (Cologne) and extraordinary member of the Association of German Architects BDA.

Denk studied art history, urban planning, technical, economic and social history as well as prehistory and early history in Bochum, Freiburg im Breisgau and Bonn. He lives in Bonn. He works in Berlin and Cologne.
