Andreas Karch (priest)

Andreas Karch (born December 27, 1913 in Haunstetten , † 1972 ) was a German pastor and songwriter.

In 1940 he was ordained a priest. Then he was chaplain in Roth and Ingolstadt , cathedral vicar and cathedral preacher in Eichstätt and from 1953 to 1972 religion teacher at the Gabrieli grammar school in Eichstätt.

In 1949 he wrote the five-stanza Marian song You Mother three times wonderfully to the melody of We all want to be happy . It is printed in the appendix to the praise of God for the diocese of Eichstätt as number 851 and is the pilgrimage song for the Mater Ter Admirabilis in the Ingolstadt Liebfrauenmünster .
