Andreas Modl

Andreas Modl (born February 21, 1961 ) is the federal advisor for the American Karate System in the German Karate Association .

At the age of six, Andreas Modl began practicing Jiu Jitsu under the guidance of his mother. He later learned the American Karate System (today 7th Dan ), Wadō-Ryū (today 7th Dan), AKS-Kobudo (today 7th Dan), Kukishin-Ryu (today 2nd Dan), Kobujutsu (today 2nd Dan) , Bojutsu (now 2nd Dan), Nunchakujutsu (now 2nd Dan) and under Heinrich Reimer Zanshin-Jitsu (1st Dan). Today Modl is active in karateka , kobujutsuka and aikidoka . He is also a state trainer for self-defense in the Lower Saxony Karate Association .

Sporting successes

  • 3 times British Army Champion
  • 4 times in a row Osaka Kata Master
  • 3 times US Army Master Kata (European Friendship)
  • 3rd place National Championships Toyakwai (England)
  • 2nd place national championship WSKF (England)

Andreas Modl has not contested any competitions since 1996.
