Andreas Pfister (born October 25, 1987 in Werneck ) is a German racing driver . He competed in the European Touring Car Cup (FIA ETCC) from 2012 to 2017 . In the 2018 season he took part in the Skoda OCTAVIA Cup and in the world's first 24H race for electric vehicles. In 2019 he was able to achieve 1st place in the 12H race at the Slovakiaring and 2nd place in the 6H race at the Autodrom Most, as well as taking part in the 24H Eco-Grand Prix for electric vehicles for the second time.

Career

After Pfister started his motorsport career in karting , he switched to touring car racing in 2005 . He competed in the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup for three years . After finishing 21st overall in his debut season, he finished the 2006 season in tenth place in the drivers' standings. In 2007 he was on the podium six times in ten races and won one. In the overall classification, he improved to second place.

In 2008 Pfister switched to the German Seat Leon Supercopa . He finished his first season in ninth place in the drivers' championship. In 2009 Pfister achieved a pole position . In the overall standings he was 16. In 2010 Pfister won his first race in the Seat Leon Supercopa. He was on the podium one more time and improved to eighth place overall. In 2011 Pfister did not finish on the podium and finished the season in tenth place.

In 2012 Pfister and the Pfister Racing team took part in the European Touring Car Cup (FIA ETCC) in a Seat Leon Copa . With two thirds and three second, he achieved a total of five podium finishes in eight races. In the Single-Make-Trophy (SMT) classification, he finished second at the end of the season. In 2013 he started there again and reached fifth place in the SMT.

In January 2014, Pfister and his Pfister Racing Team started the 24-hour race in Dubai for the first time . In the ETCC 2014 , as in 2012, he won the runner-up title in the SMT ranking.

In the 2015 season he started with the brand new SEAT Leon Cup Racer (MKIII) racing car in the ETCC, SMT class.

In this racing season he reached the 3rd place overall in the ETCC (class SMT) and recorded a win of the season as well as four further podium finishes for himself.

In the 2016 season he only took part in the FIA ​​ETCC season race in Imola, and reached 5th place.
