The 24-hour race in Dubai has been a motorsport event for sports cars that has been held in January 2006 at the Dubai Autodrome in Dubai . The length of one lap is 5.390 km.

Classification

The vehicle field is divided into four classes, which in turn are subdivided into sub-classes according to their cubic capacity:
Gasoline vehicles:

  • Class A1: up to 1.6L displacement
  • Class A2: from 1.6L to 2.0L displacement or up to 1.6L with turbo
  • Class A3T: from 1.6L to 2.0L with turbo
  • Class A4: from 2.0L to 3.0L displacement
  • Class A5: from 3.0L to 3.5L displacement

Diesel vehicles :

  • Class D1: up to 2.0L displacement
  • Class D2: from 2.0L to 3.0L displacement

GT vehicles :

  • Class 996: Porsche 996 Cup
  • Class 997: Porsche 997 Cup (2007 to 2013 & Cup S)
  • Class A6-AM: GT3 vehicles
  • Class A6-Pro: GT3 vehicles

Special vehicles :

  • Class SP2-GT3A: Cars that don't fit into any other class.
  • Class SP3-GT4A: GT4 vehicles
  • Class SP4: electric and hybrid vehicles

Since the balance of performance applies in this race, each vehicle has a different minimum weight and maximum tank quantity per pit stop.

The race will be fully commentated in English by the internet radio station radiolemans.com.
On the official website of the event, a live video stream is available over the entire race distance.
The motorsport television station MotorsTV (only available through certain cable providers) broadcasts 10 hours of the race in German.
