Robert Renauer

Robert Renauer (born March 15, 1985 in Dachau ) is a German racing driver .

Motorsport

Rennauer began his career in 2000 - as is usual in automobile racing - in karting . In 2003 he entered the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany with the Herberth Motorsport team and finished 15th in the championship. In 2004 he was twelfth there and also competed in the Porsche Supercup on two race weekends ; In 2005 he was ninth. After a year without racing, Renauer returned to the Carrera Cup for the Eichin Racing team in 2007 , but remained without points at the end of the season. At the Daytona 24-hour race , he competed alongside Uwe Alzen , Nick Pastorelli , Gastón Mazzacane and Terry Borcheller in a Porsche Fabcar (a Daytona prototype ) for the VICI Racing team, but had to retire after just under eight hours due to an accident. In 2008 Renauer finished ninth with Farnbacher Racing in the Carrera Cup and made a guest appearance in the ADAC GT Masters . With Farnbacher, he was able to achieve his first podium finishes in the Carrera Cup in 2009 and improve to fourth place in the championship. He achieved this position in the following season as well. In 2011 Renauer entered the GT Masters entirely with Black Falcon . There he drove a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 together with Kuba Giermaziak and Kenneth Heyer . In 2012 Renauer was back in the Herberth Motorsport Porsche and finished sixth with the team. He was runner-up in the GT Masters in 2013, five points behind. In 2014 he competed in the GT Masters and Carrera Cup in parallel, in 2015 only in the Carrera Cup. In 2016 he will be competing again with Herberth in the ADAC GT Masters together with Martin Ragginger .

Private

Renauer is a trained automobile salesman and, together with his twin brother Alfred, is the owner of Herberth Motorsport.
