Black Falcon is a German motorsport team based in Meuspath .

history

Black Falcon GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 2006 and got into long-distance motorsport.

VLN

The team has competed in the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring since it was founded . The greatest successes in this racing series included overall victory with a BMW 325i in 2008 and 2009 and with a BMW Z4 in 2011 .

24H Series

In the 24H Series , the team has competed regularly in the 24-hour race in Dubai since 2006 and has been overall winner four times. In 2012, 2013 and 2015 the team fielded a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the 2018 race .

In 2013, the team was also the overall winner of the Abu Dhabi 12-hour race , a non-championship race .

Seat Leon Supercopa

For one season Black Falcon drove with the driver Thomas Marschall in the Seat brand championship Seat Leon Supercopa . There the team won the driver's title with him.

24-hour race on the Nürburgring

The team has been competing regularly in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring since 2010 . In the first year it still used an Audi R8 LMS . The team then switched to a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, starting with the partnership with Mercedes-AMG from 2011. 2013 won Bernd Schneider , Jeroen Bleekemolen , Sean Edwards and Nicki Thiim the race. In 2016 the success was repeated , this time with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the drivers Bernd Schneider, Adam Christodoulou, Maro Engel and Manuel Metzger.

ADAC GT Masters

In 2011 the team fielded two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3s for one season in the ADAC GT Masters . In the team standings, Black Falcon reached 11th place and with Kenneth Heyer 22nd place in the drivers' standings.

Blancpain GT Series

Black Falcon has been competing in the endurance and sprint championships of the Blancpain GT Series and the GT World Challenge Europe since 2013 . In 2018, in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup , the team achieved its best result in this racing series by winning the team championship. In the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup , Black Falcon took third place in the team classification in 2019. With second place in the team classification, the team achieved its best position in this racing event in the GT World Challenge Europe .

Porsche Carrera Cup Germany

The racing team has been competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany since 2017 . Here it achieved its best Cup result of the season in 2017 with eighth place in the team classification and fifth place for Gabriele Piana in the drivers' classification.
