Jeroen Bleekemolen (born October 23, 1981 in Heemstede ) is a Dutch racing car driver and the son of former Formula 1 driver Michael Bleekemolen and brother of Sebastiaan Bleekemolen .
Career

Bleekemolen began his motorsport career in karting and in 1995 came second in the 80 cm³ and 60 cm³ class of the Dutch Junior Kart Championship. In 1996 he finished fourth in the Junior Kart World Championship and third in the Dutch Kart Championship.
In 1998 he moved into the single-seater racing and was both overall winner of the Formula Ford -Zetec-Benelux Championship and the Dutch Formula Ford Zetec Championship. In 1999 he drove in the British Formula Palmer Audi Championship and finished the season in ninth place overall. In 2000 he started for Van Amersfoort Racing in the German Formula 3 Championship , but was only able to attract attention with a pole position and seventh place in the non-championship Zandvoort Formula 3 Masters .
In 2001 he competed in the FIA GT championship on a Chrysler Viper GTS-R and was able to achieve two wins and third place in the final standings. He was also champion of the Dutch Renault Clio Cup . In 2002 he finished second in the Dutch Touring Car Championship with a Renault Clio .
In 2003 he got a regular cockpit at Opel in the DTM and finished his rookie year with two points in 13th place. In 2004 he took 17th place without any points, also competing for Opel. After winning the Dutch BRL V6 series in 2005 , Bleekemolen stepped in for Audi driver Olivier Tielemans on two race weekends in 2006 for the DTM team Futurecom TME , but was eventually replaced by Nicolas Kiesa . He also took part in the Le Mans 24-hour race for the first time .
In 2006/2007 he drove in the A1GP monoposto series for the Netherlands team and enabled him to finish fifth overall thanks to consistent performance and a sprint race victory in Beijing , after having been a substitute driver at every race weekend the previous season. In 2007 he celebrated a brilliant comeback with three race wins in the Porsche Supercup , in which he had already competed sporadically several times, but was “only” eighth in the final accounts, which was due to the fact that he had contested the first races as a guest driver. In winter 2007/2008 Bleekemolen started again in the A1GP series and led his team to seventh place in the championship as the sole driver with two podium places.
In 2008 , with three racing successes, he won the Porsche Supercup, known as the "fastest brands cup in the world". In addition, at the Le Mans 24 Hours in a Porsche RS Spyder , he won the LMP2 class together with Peter van Merksteijn and Jos Verstappen . In 2008/2009 Bleekemolen again drove a few races for the Dutch A1GP team and won the sprint race in Kyalami , making a major contribution to fourth place overall. In 2009 he was able to confidently defend his Porsche Supercup title with five wins and a total of 13 podium positions. He was also runner- up in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in the same year with four first places.
In 2010 Bleekemolen concentrated on his involvement in the American Le Mans Series and therefore only made seven races in the Porsche Supercup that year , which resulted in seventh place. In the GTC classification of the American endurance racing series, however, he retained the upper hand and together with the American Tim Pappas was champion with four class wins.
With a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 from the Black Falcon team, he won the 24-hour race in Dubai in 2012 and 2013 and the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and the 12-hour race in Abu Dhabi in 2013 .
Jeroen Bleekemolen is considered one of the busiest and most versatile racing drivers in the world. In addition to appearances in international championships, he also regularly takes part in Dutch series such as the Winter Endurance Kampioenschap (= winter long-distance championship), the Dutch GT4 Championship or even the Formula Ford, which is actually intended as an entry-level series.
