Nicolas Kiesa (born March 3, 1978 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish automobile racing driver .

Career

In 1990 and 1991 he became Danish kart champion. In 1992 he won second place in the Kart World Championship. 1993 drove in the European Kart Championship and the Danish Kart Championship, in which he was runner-up. In 1994 he drove in the European Kart Championship. In 1994 and 1995 Kiesa was the winner of the Viking Kart Trophy, in 1996 Danish kart champion, Scandinavian kart champion, runner-up in the world kart championship and fourth in the European kart championship.

In 1998 he immediately finished third in the British Formula Ford Championship and the Formula Ford Festival. In 1999 Nicolas Kiesa became British Formula Ford Champion, third in the Formula Ford European Championship and fourth in the Formula Ford Festival. In 2000 he finished sixth in the British Formula Ford Championship. In 2001 he drove in the British and German Formula 3 championships. In 2002 he was twelfth in Formula 3000 . In 2003 he drove in Formula 3000, won the race in Monaco and had five outings in Formula 1 at Minardi . In 2004 he was a driver of a Formula 1 two-seater.

In 2005 he was a Formula 1 test driver at the Jordan Grand Prix . In 2006 he finished third in the GT1 class at the Sebring 12-hour race and drove for Audi in the DTM . Kiesa lives in Hemel Hempstead and Zurich . With the end of the 2007 season, he ended his driving career.
