Mario Farnbacher
Mario Farnbacher (born May 14, 1992 in Ansbach ) is a German automobile racing driver . He is the brother of Dominik and the son of Horst Farnbacher .
Career
Farnbacher began his motorsport career in karting in 1999 , in which he was active until 2009. In 2010 Farnbacher switched to formula racing and competed for ma-con Motorsport in the ADAC Formula Masters . While his team-mate Richie Stanaway dominated the championship, Farnbacher was third in the drivers' championship with three wins and a total of twelve podium finishes. He was also the best newcomer this season. In 2011 Farnbacher initially competed in the Toyota Racing Series , the highest monoposto series in New Zealand , on four of five race weekends for ETEC Motorsport. With a second place as the best result, he finished twelfth overall. Farnbacher then contested his second season in the ADAC Formula Masters. At the start of the season he started again for ma-con Motorsport. For the second race he switched to Motopark Academy . While his team-mate Emil Bernstorff was third in the championship, Farnbacher finished the season with a victory in sixth place in the overall standings.
