In the movie Basic Instinct, actress Sharon Stone drives a Spyker C8 Laviolette, and in the movie War , actor Jet Li drives a Spyker C8 Spyder. In addition, the Spyker C8 Spyder comes in the music video I'm All Yours by Jay Sean before. In the computer game The Crew , the Spyker C8 Aileron is part of the Vintage Car Pack DLC.
The name Laviolette goes back to the Spyker technician Joseph Valentin Laviolette, who was responsible for developing the first Spyker models in the early 1900s.
