Thomas "Tommy" Milner (born January 28, 1986 in Washington, DC ) is an American racing driver .

Career

Tommy Milner began his career in US GT racing in 2003 . After his first appearances in the Grand-Am Sports Car Series , he also drove a full season in the US Formula BMW championship in 2004 . It was his only stint in monoposto racing so far . In 2005 he moved to the American Le Mans Series and in 2006 signed a contract with Panoz , where he became a partner of Gunnar Jeannette . After a less than successful season, he left Panoz at the end of the year and went to Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in 2007 . He stayed there until the end of the 2010 season. He finished the overall GT2 standings of the Asian Le Mans Series 2009 as third overall, and the GT2 final standings of the 2010 ALMS season as second overall.

2011 he won together with Augusto Farfus , Edward Sandström and Claudia Hürtgen on one of Schubert Motorsport reported BMW Z4 GT3 , the 24-hour race in Dubai and then moved to Corvette Racing, where he since 2011 12 Hours of Sebring active is. Twice, in 2011 and 2015 , he won the LMGTE Pro class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in 2013 in the 12 Hours of Sebring . In 2012 he clinched overall victory in the GT class of the American Le Mans Series. Further class wins followed in the 2015 24-hour race at Le Mans and the 24-hour race in Daytona and the 12-hour race in Sebring in 2016 .
