Gunnar Jeannette
Gunnar Jeannette (born May 5, 1982 in West Palm Beach ) is an American racing car driver .
Career
Gunnar Jeannette entered the American Le Mans Series in the 2000 ALMS season and made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans that same year . At that time, Jeannette was 18 years and a month old, making her one of the youngest starters in the long history of the 24-hour race in western France. At the second outing at Le Mans 2001, he and his partners Romain Dumas and Philippe Haezebrouck in a Porsche 996 GT3 RS came in second and final in the GT class behind Gabrio Rosa , Fabio Babini and Luca Drudi (also in a Porsche 996 GT3 RS) seventh overall.
In 2002 he became a works driver at Panoz . The best results from the collaboration were third overall at the 2.45-hour race in Mosport in 2003 and fourth at Petit Le Mans in the same year .
After the end of the collaboration with Pans, Jeannette remained active in the American Le Mans Series and drove in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the 2010s . With the race of 2012 he was at the start eight times at Le Mans; his best place in the final ranking was fifth in 2003 . In 2003 he was also fifth overall in the Sebring 12-hour race .
