Land Motorsport is a German motorsport team from Wolfgang Land .

In 1995 Wolfgang Land founded his own racing team with his son Jochen . Jochen first started in the Formula BMW ADAC Junior Championship and finished fourth in the championship in the first year. In 1996 his first victories followed. In 1997 he drove with his team in the Formula BMW ADAC championship . In 1998 the team withdrew from Formula BMW and Jochen Land now started in the Porsche Carrera Cup . There he finished eighth in the overall standings in the first year.

In 1999 Bernd Mayländer drove for the team and took fourth place in the overall ranking of the Porsche Carrera Cup. In 2000, however, the drivers Erik Schwarz , Heinz-Bert Wolters and Jochen Land did not achieve any top positions. In 2001 Jochen Land, Heinz-Bert Wolters and Tim Bergmeister started for the team. Tim Bergmeister contested a full season for Land Motorsport in 2002. In 2003 Christian Land and Roland Asch were behind the wheel. Asch finished second in the last race at the Hockenheimring and then ended his career.

Land Motorsport also took part in the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race and achieved a class win in 2001 and 2003.

In 2004, Land Motorsport started working with Bilstein to develop motorsport dampers. The team fielded the Porsche 996 GT3-RSR in the BFGoodrich endurance championship and quickly became one of the strongest teams in the field. The first victory came in the fifth race. In 2007 Land Motorsport was closer than ever to victory in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring . However, Marc Basseng collided with the leading Manthey -Porsche a few hours before the end and lost around 18 minutes due to repairs. In the end, the team around Marc Basseng, Marc Hennerici , Dirk Adorf and Frank Stippler still managed a podium finish in third place behind the Manthey-Porsche and the Zakspeed Viper. In 2008 the new Porsche 997 GT3-RSR was used. After five years of collaboration, Bilstein ended the project at the beginning of 2009. Overall, the Bilstein-Porsche won 19 rounds of the endurance championship. The last outing was at the 24-hour race in Dubai , which the Bilstein-Porsche could not finish. However, the second Land-Porsche managed to win.

In 2017, the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring achieved the first overall victory with the team Markus Winkelhock , Christopher Mies , Kelvin van der Linde and Connor De Phillippi with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 as well as a class win in the GTD class at the Petit Le Mans in Road Atlanta .
