Andreas Regelsberger

Andreas Regelsberger (* in the 20th century) is a German Japanologist .

Life

From 1996 to 2003 he studied Japanese Studies (HF), Sinology (NF) and Modern German Literature (NF) at the University of Hamburg . From 1999 to 2000 he studied abroad at the University of Tsukuba (scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Culture, Mombushō). From September to October 2003 he had a graduation scholarship at Tsukuba University. He has been a freelance interpreter and translator since 2006. From 2003 to 2006 he was a research assistant at the Asia-Africa Institute in Hamburg : coordinator of the summer school (language course for students from Japan, Taiwan and Korea), and also lecturer in Japanese studies. From October 2007 to February 2009 he was a research assistant at the Japanese Studies department at Trier University ( dissertation project : Fragments of a Poetology of Doll and Voice: Aesthetic Literature from the Puppet Theater Environment in Edo-Period Japan). From March 2009 to August 2012 he taught as a junior professor in Japanese Studies at the University of Trier . From September 2012 to December 2013 he was Visiting Professor (Japanese Studies) at Western Michigan University . Since April 2014 he has been a university professor for Japanese Studies in Trier .
