Life

Rudroff, son of the painter Johann M. Rudroff (1700–1783), was a student of the so-called Kremser Schmidt and is considered one of the master's main collaborators. With this he designed, among other things, the trellises and frescoes of the Seitenstetter collegiate church in 1776 . He was one of the most productive students and successors of Kremser Schmidt and worked mainly for the Servite order .

His older brother, Matthias Rudroff (born August 23, 1733 in Stein an der Donau, † May 25, 1786 in Ofen ) also worked as a church painter.
