Andreas Scherer is a former German ski jumper .

Scherer made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 30, 1988 . The first three years of his World Cup career, however, were unsuccessful. It wasn't until December 14, 1991 that he was able to win a World Cup point in Sapporo for the first time with 15th place. Two weeks later he again won World Cup points in Oberstdorf . Since 1990 Scherer has also started in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . On March 28, 1992 he reached his only podium place in his career with the 2nd place in the team competition in Planica . At the New Year's competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 1, 1993, he achieved 6th place, the highest individual result in his career. He ended the Four Hills Tournament 1992/93 in 17th place overall. The 1992/93 season was Scherer's most successful World Cup season. In the end, he finished 42nd in the overall World Cup ranking.

After he was unable to achieve any further success in either the World Cup or the Continental Cup in the following years, he ended his active ski jumping career in 1995.
