Andreja Nikl (born November 5, 1985 in Šentilj ) is a Slovenian soccer player.

Career

In the club

Nikl started her career in the school team of Osnovna šola Sladki Vrh. This was followed by the start of her senior career in 2000 at ŽNK Maribor, where she made her debut on September 3, 2000 against ŽNK Senožeti . She completed 42 games for ŽNK Maribor in four years and scored 18 goals before moving to ŽNK Pomurje in 2004 . In Beltinci , she scored eleven goals in 19 games in her debut season and was appointed to the national team for the first time. During her time at ŽNK Pomurje Beltinci she was the goal getter and in her last season (2006/2007) scored 36 goals in just 20 games for the club. At the beginning of the 2007/08 season, Nikl moved from Pomurje to ŽNK Krka , where she was Slovenian champion with the club from Novo mesto in the following years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. She also won the Slovenian Cup in 2008, 2009 and 2010, before returning to her first senior club ŽNK Maribor in summer 2011. At Maribor, she played only five games in the first half of the season before Nikl returned to ŽNK Pomurje in December 2011.

Nikl has been a national player for Slovenia since autumn 2004.
