Andrew "Andy" Amers-Morrison (* approx. 1970 ) is a British football coach who was briefly the national coach of the Seychelles football team in 2010 due to a mix-up .

Life

Amers-Morrison played football on a semi-professional level before an injury ended his career. Since 2005 he has been running Samba Street Soccer in London , a soccer project dedicated to socially disadvantaged children. Amers-Morrison has received several awards for its commitment, including a regional award from the Pride of Britain Awards .

During a vacation in the Seychelles in September 2010, officials of the Seychelles Football Federation and the press mistook him for former professional footballer Andrew "Andy" Morrison (including Plymouth Argyle, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City) and for Richard Holmlund's successor Two years as national coach of the Seychelles national football team . In this role he was in charge of the U-20 national team at the COSAFA U-20 Challenge Cup at the beginning of December 2010 . A short time later, according to British press reports, the mix-up came to light.
