Andrew Bishop (born August 7, 1985 in Llantrisant , Rhondda Cynon Taf , Glamorgan ) is a former Welsh rugby union player who played for the Ospreys and for the Welsh national team on the position of the inner three quarters .

Bishop joined the Ospreys in 2005 and made his Magners League debut against the Border Reivers in February of that year . He had previously played for Bridgend , Neath and Maesteg . In the 2006/07 season he was a regular at the Ospreys and came to a total of 30 missions in that season. Among other things, he succeeded in an attempt in the final of the EDF Energy Cup . In 2010 and 2012 he won the Pro12 championship with the Ospreys .

Bishop went through the country's youth national teams and was part of the U21 selection that won the Grand Slam in the Six Nations of this age group in 2005. He played his first international match for the men's selection in June 2008 against South Africa . In June 2012 he played for the national team for the last time, opponents were the Barbarians . He played for the Ospreys for three more years before retiring due to a disc injury.
