Andrew Clifton Nicholson ONZM (born August 1, 1961 in Te Awamutu , Waikato ) is a New Zealand eventing rider and six-time participant in the Olympic Games .

Nicholson moved to England in the 1980s as he saw better career opportunities here. He lives in the English market town of Marlborough , where he works as an eventing horse trainer.

In January 2014 he married his longtime partner, the British eventing rider Wiggy Channer. There are two children from the relationship.
