Andrew Rock

Andrew Rock (born January 23, 1982 in Marshfield , Wisconsin ) is an American athlete.

The 400-meter runner Rock first stepped into the limelight when he finished sixth at the US Trials in Sacramento , California for the 2004 Athens Olympics , and was invited to the Games for relay competitions. In Athens he was then nominated as the third runner for the first qualifying run of the 4 x 400 meter relay and thus laid the basis for the later Olympic victory of his colleagues.

In 2005 he was third at the US Championships with a time of 44.70 s and was allowed to compete in a major international competition for the first time in an individual competition. At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki , he confirmed this nomination by winning the silver medal behind Jeremy Wariner . In this race he improved his personal best to 44.35 s.

With a height of 1.88 m, he has a competition weight of 75 kg.
