Andrzej Klesyk (* 1962 ) is an economist and has been CEO of the largest Polish insurance company Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń since December 14, 2007 .

Live and act

In 1993, Klesyk received a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University . He was a manager in the consulting firm McKinsey and Company in London and was one of the founders of the Polish Internet bank Inteligo . In 2007 he applied for the board post at the then largest Polish bank PKO BP , but withdrew his application when the then Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński wanted to appoint his predecessor Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz for the post . For his role at PZU, Klesyk resigned from a well-paid director at the Boston Consulting Group , where he led insurance projects. In 2009 he earned PLN 239,024 gross (the same as the other board members), plus PLN 55,853 annual bonus for 2008 and PLN 239,000 for work in subsidiaries. Like the other board members, he also received a non-monetary package for 100,000 złoty, which consisted of life insurance, private health care, a company cell phone and company car.
