Calvin Anele Ngcongca (born October 20, 1987 in Cape Town ) is a South African football player . As a defensive all-rounder, he can be used in almost all positions in the back four, as well as the defensive midfield.

Career

Through his youth clubs Aces United and FC Fortune , he came to Western Province United in 2005 , where he became an undisputed regular player. The 1.80 meter tall right foot was able to convince as a dangerous defender (ten goals in 86 games) and moved to KRC Genk in 2007 , where he was also a regular and won three national titles. In the 2015/16 season it was awarded to the French second division club ES Troyes AC and then permanently given to the Mamelodi Sundowns . Here he has been twice national champion.

National team

He made his debut for South Africa in 2009 and was also nominated for the 2010 Soccer World Cup . By 2016 he had completed a total of 53 international matches, but did not manage to hit one.
