Angelika Tübke

Angelika Tübke (born August 8, 1935 in Dessau ) is a German painter .

Life

Tübke studied at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Werner Tübke , with whom she was later married. This marriage resulted in two sons, one of whom, Albrecht Tübke , is also a visual artist. Angelika Tübke moved from Leipzig to Dalliendorf in Mecklenburg in 1982. She lives and works there as a freelance painter and graphic artist.

In her artistic work she dedicates herself to the representational style of painting and uses glazing techniques from the old masters . Her main subjects are portraits , landscape painting and still life . In addition to painting with oil and egg tempera, there are also numerous watercolors and drawings. Her craftsmanship and her sensitive, expressive way of depicting people and nature have brought her international recognition.
