Angelo Orlando (born December 6, 1962 in Salerno ) is an Italian writer, director and actor for stage, film and television.

Life

Orlando started working as an actor in film in 1989 (his breakthrough came in Federico Fellini's last film The Voice of the Moon ) as well as with plays from his pen such as Deliri metropolitani , Messico è nuvole , Sono chiuso in me stesso più della porta di casa and the with Casamatta Vendesi won the Premio Solinas 2005 award . In 1992 he received the David di Donatello for best supporting actor for Pensavo fosse amore invece era un calesse for his acting achievements .

In 1994 he directed his first feature film based on motifs from comics by Andrea Pazienza resulting L'anno prossimo vado a letto all dieci . Four years later he presented Barbara , which from 2003 was also performed as a theater play. As an author, Orlando published a volume of short stories in 2002 and poetry two years later. In August 2005 his third film, Sfiorarsi , was released, which was shown in cinemas from 2008 onwards following festival performances. After acting in independent films, he directed Rocco tiene tu nombre, a Spanish-made film in 2013 .
