Angiokeratomas

Angiokeratomas are benign skin changes that consist of wart-shaped hyperkeratoses combined with telangiectasias or angiomas .

The following subspecies are described:

  • solitary angiokeratoma ( papular angiokeratoma ), in adolescents and young adults, mostly on the lower extremity
  • Angiokeratoma corporis circumscriptum naeviforme Hallopeau , angiokeratomas mainly found on one side of the extremities as streaky dark-blue-red nodes
  • Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum Fabry ( Angiokeratoma universale ), many small, hyperkeratotic, bluish angiomas on the skin and mucous membranes in Fabry disease
  • idiopathic angiokeratoma corporis diffusum , rare disease with angiokeratomas and associated malformations without an underlying metabolic disorder
  • Angiokeratoma Mibelli ( Angiokeratoma asphysticum neonatorum ), to bean-sized, dark red, vascular papules with warty-hyperkeratotic surface on the back of the fingers, toes and knees in adolescents with acroasphyxia or perniosis
  • Angiokeratoma scroti Fordyce , congenital circumscribed vascular ectasias on the scrotum or vulva
