Anika Dörr (born June 15, 1994 in Darmstadt ) is a German badminton player .

Career

Anika Dörr started her career at TSG 1877 Messel near Darmstadt. After she played 6 years at SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil in Bad Vilbel in the 2nd Bundesliga South and also in the 1st Bundesliga, she is now under contract with TV Refrath (near Cologne). There she plays primarily in the 2nd Bundesliga North, but also in the 1st Bundesliga.

In 2011 Anika Dörr won the gold medal with the team at the European Youth Championships. At the Junior EM 2013 it was enough for the bronze medal with the team and the 5th place in the women's doubles. In 2011 (Taiwan) and 2012 (Japan) she took part in the World Youth Championships.

She won gold in both women's doubles and women's singles at the European Badminton University Championships in 2013. In 2014 she won the title at the EUSA Games with the team from the University of Duisburg-Essen, where she came second in the women's doubles.

At the German Badminton Championships in 2014 she won bronze in doubles with Luise Heim and thus acquired the right to start the Women's Team EM in Basel, where the bronze medal could be won in the end.

In May 2014, Anika Dörr represented the German national badminton team for women at the Uber Cup in India.

At the beginning of 2017, she announced her resignation from the national team of the German Badminton Association. A few weeks later she reached the semi-finals again in doubles at the German O19 Championships, together with Jennifer Karnott.
