Anja Strobel

Anja Strobel (* 1974 in Karl-Marx-Stadt as Anja Wehr ) is a German psychologist and professor for "Personality Psychology and Diagnostics" in the Psychology Department at the Technical University of Chemnitz .

Life

Strobel grew up in Karl-Marx-Stadt and graduated from high school in 1992 . This was followed by a degree in psychology at the TU Dresden , which she completed in 2004 with a doctoral thesis . She was awarded prizes for her teaching at the TU Dresden and the TU Chemnitz. She then worked as a research assistant from 2005 to 2010. In 2010 she became a junior professor for “process-oriented diagnostics”. Since April 1, 2014, she has held the chair in "Personality Psychology and Diagnostics" at the Institute for Psychology at the Technical University of Chemnitz. She has been dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Chemnitz University of Technology since April 2019 .

research

Strobel conducts research in the field of diagnostic processes, aptitude assessment and cognitive motivation and, together with Georg Jahn, has been leading the graduate college of the “Hybrid Societies” collaborative research center at Chemnitz University of Technology since 2019 . She also heads one of the sub-projects of the Collaborative Research Center.

Strobel is married and has two children.
