Both pursued their musical interests at an early age and entered the Academia da Música at the age of seven and eight . During this time they made their first appearances as Irmãos Rosado at dances and festivals. In 1996 they took part in the competition Lugar aos Mais Novos of the radio station Rádio Renascença , from which they emerged as winners. The following year they won first place at Casa de Artistas by RTP and after this success were invited to become members of the band Sétimo Céu , with which they had some successes in 1998.
