Bertrand Isidore Traoré (born September 6, 1995 in Bobo-Dioulasso ) is a Burkinabe soccer player . The offensive all-rounder is under contract with the French first division club Olympique Lyon and is a national player for Burkina Faso .
Club career
In 2009 Traoré was part of the ASF Bobo-Dioulasso's junior division . He also played for AJ Auxerre as a teenager .
On January 1, 2014, he moved to Chelsea . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2018 and was loaned to Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Eredivisie until the end of the season. The loan was later extended to the 2014/15 season. For Vitesse, Traoré scored 16 goals in 42 league games. He returned to Chelsea for the 2015/16 season . In his first season in the Premier League he got ten missions in which he scored two goals. On August 12, 2016, Traoré moved back to the Eredivisie at Ajax Amsterdam on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season .
On June 26, 2017, he went to the French Ligue 1 to Olympique Lyon . His contract runs until 2022.
National team
In 2009 Traoré took part in the U-17 World Cup in South Korea with the Burkinabe U-17 selection . As the youngest player in the tournament, he was used in all four tournament games when he reached the round of 16. In 2011 he won the U-17 Africa Cup with Burkina Faso , but the FIFA statutes , which allow each player only one participation, prevented a second World Cup participation among the U-17 juniors .
On September 3, 2011, shortly before his 16th birthday, Traoré made his debut under national coach Paulo Duarte in the senior national team of Burkina Faso during a friendly against Equatorial Guinea . He succeeded his father Feu Traoré Isaï and his older brother Alain Traoré , both of whom also wore the national jersey. Duarte called Traoré to the squad for the Africa Cup 2012 , where he became the third youngest player in tournament history by substituting in the group game against Sudan.
