Mathis Rayan Cherki (born August 17, 2003 in Pusignan ) is a French football player who is under contract with Olympique Lyon .

Career

society

In 2010 Cherki moved from AS Saint-Priest to Olympique Lyon. Cherki was educated at the Lyon Youth Academy and is considered one of her greatest talents. At the age of 15 he started playing in the National 2 Championship for the reserve team. On July 7, 2019, Cherki signed his first professional contract with Lyon, which will run until 2022. Cherki made his professional debut for Lyon in a 0-0 tie in Ligue 1 against FCO Dijon on October 19, 2019. At just 16 years old, he was the second youngest player for Lyon in Ligue 1. Only Willem Geubbels was younger at his debut.

Cherki was born in France and is of Algerian descent. He is a youth international for France.
