Youssouf Koné (born July 5, 1995 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player who has been under contract with Olympique Lyon since 2019 .

Career

Koné began his career in his native Mali. In 2013 he moved to France . There he first played for the second team OSC Lilles . On March 2, 2014 he made his debut for the first team in the game against AC Ajaccio in the French first division . In July 2017 he moved to Stade Reims on loan for six months . For this he played 18 games and scored his first goal for a French club on September 22, 2017. In the summer of 2019, Koné moved to Olympique Lyon for nine million euros .

National team

Youssouf Koné first played for Mali's U-20 national team and took part in the 2015 U-20 African Cup and the 2015 U-20 World Cup. For the senior team he made his debut on 6 September 2015 compared the Benin national football team .
