Anklesvar , also Ankleshwar , is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat .
The city is the part of the Bharuch District . Anklesvar has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 16 wards (constituencies).

The city's population is 89,457 according to the 2011 census. Anklesvar has a gender ratio of 914 women per 1000 men and thus a male surplus typical for India. The literacy rate was 89.0% in 2011. The city is known for its industrial community called GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation). It has an office of the ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited). Anklesvar has over 1500 chemical factories that manufacture products such as pesticides, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and paints.
