Anna-Maria Wagner

Anna-Maria Wagner (born May 17, 1996 ) is a German judoka who competes in the weight class up to 78 kilograms, the light heavyweight.

Wagner was fifth in the European Junior Championships in 2013 and fifth in the U21 World Championships in 2014. In 2015 she won bronze at the U21 World Championships in Abu Dhabi, and the following year she won the European Junior Championships in Malaga. In 2017 Wagner won the U23 European Championships in Podgorica. In 2018 she lost to the British Natalie Powell in the quarterfinals of the European Championships in Tel Aviv . After victories over the Portuguese Patricia Sampaio and Karen Stevenson from the Netherlands, Wagner received a bronze medal. At the 2018 World Championships in Baku, she was eliminated in her second fight.

In 2017 and 2018 she won the title at the German Championships, in 2019 she lost to Luise Malzahn in the final .

Wagner is nominated for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo .

Wagner fights for the KJC Ravensburg and is a sports soldier .
