Anna G. Krause

Anna G. Krause (born January 14, 1895 in Baltimore , † March 18, 1968 in Carmel-by-the-Sea ) was an American Romance and Hispanicist .

life and work

Anna Krause studied in Los Angeles and received her doctorate in Chicago in 1928 with the work La novela sentimental 1440-1513 . From 1920 to 1958 she taught at the University of California at Los Angeles , from 1954 as Full Professor, from 1956 as Chairman of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
