Anna Katharina Alexandra von Grünewaldt
Anna Katharina Alexandra von Grünewaldt (born March 4, 1859 in Affel , Weissensteinscher Kreis, Estonia Governorate ; † May 30, 1913 on the trip from Berlin to Eydtkuhnen ) was a Baltic German educator .
Life
She came from the German Baltic noble family von Grünewaldt . Her father was Conrad Moritz Georg von Grünewaldt (1825–1868), a son of the civil governor Johann von Grünewaldt (1796–1862). Her mother was Natalie von der Pahlen-Astrau (1831–900). Grünewaldt grew up on his parents' estate in Estonia. She had an older brother.
From 1892 to 1910 she was superior of the Kaiserin Augusta Foundation in Potsdam . The memoirs she wrote with the farewell to the children of the monastery on June 10, 1910, published in 1914, edited by Betsy and Katharina (Kitty) von Gruenewaldt.
Awards
- She was awarded the Cross of Merit for Women and Virgins .
